Helping Kids Cope

Are your kids having difficulty with social distancing?  As the quarantine for Ontario continues, students are seeing important milestones like graduation being cancelled, spring sports seasons being delayed, time away from their friends and teachers being extended and favourite family summer holidays in jeopardy.  This is a lot for young children and teens to handle.

Parents should be on the look out for signs that their child is struggling like changes in their sleep pattern and eating habits, an increase in their time on digital technology, disinterest in the things they used to enjoy and changes in their mood.

If you are looking for some helpful hints on how to guide your child through these uncertain times, click on the link below to find many useful tools.

Thank you to Jody Maltby for creating this choice board.
